By the way if you can't breastfeed don't let people give you crap.about formula. People made me feel so guilty for not breastfeeding I was severely depressed. My daughter was formula fed from two months til now and she's almost 1. And she is happy..healthy ..advanced..and smart. Don't listen to anyone. Try your best but if you can't then don't let anyone make you feel bad.. good luck xx

If you want the best, put ur baby on ur breast. Everything takes time. Don't use formula as a cop out or a crutch. Healthy brain development does not come from formula..I mean hello it's a darn Formula. Ewww

I had every intent of nursing my first child, however, for whatever reason, my body didn't produce milk.  It was heart breaking.  I saw a lactation consultant and tried medication, but my boobs just didn't work.  Plus baby would NOT latch on.  I had a lot of guilt, but now that my child is 3 I feel better about it because she is super smart and healthy.  I will of course try with baby #2.  I've been leaking tiny bits for at least 3 months now and my nipples hurt like shards of glass are poking them.  I think I may actually produce something this time.  If you can, yes, nurse. But if you can't, don't beat yourself up.  It's hard enough being a new mommy.

I agree with all its benefits but with breastfeeding you need to be patient. Once your baby cries for milk you have to be calm and your baby has to be on your breast for awhile and frequently. With bottle you just stick it in their mouth. I am breastfeeding and for me at least is not easy. Be very patient and stay away from all bottles and pacifiers! You will give your baby the best! And my family was not supportive of me breastfeeding which is why my baby is used to the bottle sadly. Anyone who is not supportive stay away from them once you get the hang of it.

the baby gets the antibodies from you but not everyone can do it.  The most inportant is the colostrum that comes out the first couple days after the baby is born before your milk comes in.   I had reduction surgery about 10yrs ago now so I can't produce enough milk for my baby to have exclusvely so I do both, breastfeeding & formula for top up to make sure he is getting enough.

You can only do what works for you.  remember that breastfeeding is free & formula is not cheap

Breast feeding is the best and only option because it is so much more healthier for the baby then any factory made formula. Breast milk has all of the essential vitamins and nutrients that the baby demands. Just as you ate healthy foods and the baby fed off of that, the milk that is provided thru the breast is better because it comes from you, the mother, the baby's life source. You actually have a better chance at bonding with baby as well.

It's better then formula 4 many reasons.  Before ur milk supply comes in u get colostrum which is really all the babies stomach can handle 4 the 1st couple of days because it's sensitive.  When ur milk does come in, the 1st stuff that comes out when the baby nurses is sort of like water which quinces their thirst then they get the milk which fills them up.  Ontop of all that ur breast milk is full of antibodies that formula doesn't have.  It helps the baby not get sick and build up its immunity (:

breastfeeding it your able to do it is best for baby, it has exactly everything that baby needs food wise, it also give the baby important  antibodies in the first few days as well, its cheaper, less hassel, can help you loss weight, helps with bonding, gee the list goes on and on, it also changes to your babies needs, so when your baby is 1, the milk has changed to what it needs at that age, formula, no matter how hard they try cant exactly replicate breast milk and you also have the worry (if you worry about such things)  of having gmo added to the baby milk as well, unless you choose organic baby milk
