Thanks guys. I am taking folic acid and prenatal vitamins.trying to excersize as much as I can, and eating healthy.
Folic acid also helps prevent problems with the development of the spinal column such as spina bifida. Enough folic acid during early pregnancy is very important for this reason. Cereals are also fortified with folic acid, it's actually the reason cereals have folic acid in them. But a simple prenatal vitamin will give you all the folic acid you need each day.
Folic acid helps cells divide. It won't help you get pregnant, but it will help support a healthy pregnancy if you do concieve. Hope that helps! You can easily get folic acid in a prenatal vitamin (which you should be taking if you are ttc). Hope that helps.
