debgunnI too had a c-section and i didn't feel a thing...i had the spinal block and they gave me a sedative. All i felt was a little tugging and the only reason i felt that is becuase it made my boobs bounce. Riots experience is EXTREMELY RARE. Like Martika said her hospital must employee a bunch of sh!t for brains. BTW I have since had FOUR successful VBACS!!!
Debgunn~ Let me tell you something real quick.. I had a CS.. riot's hospital had to have had idiots for brains! My csection was at Loma Linda here in Socal and it went beautifully except for pain controll the few days afterward but that was my stupidity for doing to much and wanting to go see my little boy in the NICU 3 hallways away and INSISTING on walking!
Just make sure whatever hospital you go to that you speak to them about the procedure, pain control... all of it BEFORE you ever give birth. You can always request a meeting with one of the doctors who will be doing a surgery if it needs to be done. You've got that right as a patient. and the right to refuse they're service and "fire" them as a doctor.

Wow....Im feel really bad that her birthing experiance was so cr appy. I hope she is recovering well, and I hope that she never has to experiance that again. Im praying for her to have painless recovery.
Im sorry to here that.... I hope shes happy now though being able to see her child. C-sections didnt seem bad on tv (baby story,bringing home baby) I didnt realize you can feel everything! Does it really hurt that bad?? Now im nervous lol I dont wanna go through that.....

aweee im sorry she had such a horrible delivery! I too didn't eat before my delivery and was in labor for 3 days with no food! And it sucked but I got an epi and delivered vaginally!!! Sorry for your pain = ]
That is why I decided to go to sleep during both of my c sections. I was terrified that something like that would happen to me. I hate to hear she had such a bad time. She is in my thoughts and prayers.
wow that would be the worst delivery every! I'd be heated too....Were the docs interns or what???? I would have tried to sue or something for them giveing me the wrong meds. Haveing a birth with not meds is one thing....but a c-section?! WTF and my boyfriend would hear my mouth for a while if he did that. Aw I hope shes doing better now and healing good. I don't think that she'd be mad at you. Shed probably thank you for helping her tell everyone. Give her our prayers, and shes a tough cookie and sorry that she had to go through that alone.
kim im with you too i felt every part of my c-section i was screaming also i hurt so bad i felt so much tugging and just everything omg and they didint give me anything either till my son was out of me they knocked me out and when i woke up i was in recovery i was saposto be in there for an hour and i remember being in there for only like 10 min
aw u feel so bad for her. but i felt every part of my c section as well because my epidural didnt work and they didnt give me anything to knock me out till he was pretty much out. it was more than worth it in the end
I hope she doesn't hate me for saying this. But basically she was in labor and at 7 cm. I believe stopped progressing. they gave her an epideral which stopped working, and went into a csection, they gave her more med's (spinal) but it didn't work and she felt everything and was screaming and crying. They put her to sleep and had her guy leave the room. It was horrible. I feel so bad for her experience! this is what she told me on myspace.:

No, I did NOT have a good birthing experience.
I was in labor for 14 hours and ended up getting a cesarean in the end.
They gave me an epidural, and it worked for a lil while, then I guess while they kept making me lay in different positions to try n get the baby to move down more, it got moved outta place and stopped working.
And so they redid it, and it still didn't work.
I didn't eat before I went in because I didn't think they would induce cuz they seem to not wanna do anything for people at that hospital cuz they're LAZY.
So anyways, I was stuck eating ice chips, I was so hungry I couldn't hardly ******* STAND it.
Then they come in fuckin telling me that they're gunna do a cesarean because I was stuck at 7cm and still wasn't fully eff.
So I started FREAKING out cuz I just can't handle the fact of being cut open... I dunno why.
So I'm SCREAMING and crying.
Josh n his mama are trying to calm me down.
I'm in histarics, I couldn't even talk I was so scared.
They wheeled me to the room and all the way I'm still screaming trying to roll out the bed and get away but I couldn't move. lol
So they get me in, and give me a different medication for my cesarean that STILL didn't fuckin work because I could feel EVERYTHING when they started cutting.
Josh somehow got me to calm down for about 5 minutes till I started feeling alot of tugging that hurt me really bad.
I could ******* FEEL the guy CUTTING my ******* skin and it BURNED.
I could feel him pulling and tugging and the fuckin **** HURT.
Whatever the **** they were giving me WASN'T the right kind of **** because every other fuckin person I've spoken to that's had a cesarean said that they either felt NOTHING at all, or felt a bit of pulling but no pain.
WTF.
So I start freaking out AGAIN, and they hadda make Josh get out and they hadda put me to sleep.
And so then I remember waking up and hearing Ivy crying in the background, and muffled voices.
I remember gagging a couple times, a nurse asking me to cough a couple times for her but I couldn't, and Josh's mother asking if I've seen the baby yet.
Then the next thing I remember they were wheeling me through a hall and into my room.
Then the next thing I remember was waking up in a dim-lit room alone, and then someone coming in asking me if I wanted to see my baby.
I asked where Josh was and they said he said to tell me he would be back in the morning.
And I was devistated because I was ALONE and scared.
And he didn't even ******* come back the next fuckin morning.
They didn't ******* show up till 3 that next afternoon.
I couldn't call them because Josh had taken the fuckin cellphone, and the hospital phones only called local and all their cells were long distant Louisiana numbers and I couldn't remember the house number.
So one of the nurses were kind enough to let me borrow their cells and I tried to call twice at different times and the ******* had his fuckin phone off.
UGH.
Then I was ******* stuck there for 4 ******* days.
In THE ******* WORST pain I've ever ******* been in.
What happened makes me NEVER want to ******* get pregnant AGAIN.
But I have to because it's only fair to try for a boy for Josh.

i too am curious about how her delivery went...i know she doesnt have the net or whatever and probably is really busy enjoying her new little bundle..
Well, I fished around and saw her profile...I missed it! Oh well...I hope everything went well...it sounds like she might have had a rough delivery...I'd love to hear the details!
