fractured pelvis

When I was 17 I was in a really bad car accident. I fractured my pelvis and couldn't walk for over a month. I'm 22 now and 19 weeks pregnant and everything feels fine so far but I'm worried I'm going to have a lot of pain when everything starts moving out more. I'm also worried about having to have a c section.:( any advice?

I fractured my pelvis 10yrs ago. I also fractured my back and had a spinal fusion 3yrs. I had a csection with my first and will do with this one too for different complications but if it wasn't for the complications my dr said vaginal delivery would have been fine, could even have had an epidural. They just did my spinal block a little higher up my back.

Hun let me tell ya something :-) I've been a stable hand and trained and saddle broke horses for 11 years(in doing so I've injured every part of my body) and I have spinal bifida. Doc said everything is fine with baby so far and I can have a normal delivery. We'll both make it through just fine :-)

I would ask your doctor as well. It probably has to do with a lot of different factors though, such as how it healed and the placement of the fracture and whatnot, none of which I would be able to help with lol. I would think there would be pain eventually, but a lot of women have pelvic pain even without a fractured pelvis so I don't know what the severity would be.

Bump is meant to bring the post back to the top of the forum or that someone else has the same question
