friend doing wrong?

sorry its not a pregnancy question but only place i know gets responces!
my friend has a 7 month old baby and from day one she has got up on a  morning, prepered 6 bottles and left in fridge. now on the formula it says after 2 hours you should throw away any left over formula yet her baby has never been ill so is this just a scam? i have a 4 month old daughter as well

I think everyone just has a different way of doing things (and since it's been 3+ years since I had bottles with my son, I forgot that I DO just put warm water in bottles and add the formula later, haha) is your friend showing signs of depression? Not wanting to do much or anything, does she try to help out with cleaning, does she show interest in her baby, does she leave the house at all? The 1st year of a baby's life is the hardest, and it takes some women longer to adapt than others.

not saying its lazy in all cases but this seems to be my friends reason. she has 1 child, doesnt work and doesnt go out as she refuses to walk down steps (she lives in a flat) cant even say she is busy with house work as her partner and mom do most.

Sorry....I clicked enter too soon.  I don't see making bottles in advance a problem.  I just wouldn't use them after the 24 hour mark and would never use a bottle that's been left out for any length of time.

I don't think preparing a full days bottles is being "lazy" at all especially when you have more than one child that requires attention, plays sports etc.  I never reused formula bottles with my other two.  I boiled the water in the morning and would make 2-3 bottles to last a couple of feedings throughout the day especially if I knew it was going to be busy.

i always make mine fresh. at night i place the water in bottles and take formual up bt in the morning tip any un used waster away. ive left half drunk bottles out and seen how the formula and water split so never thought to make them all at once. just seems lazy

I always make fresh bottles I would rather know the bottle I just made is sterile and fresh than to get ahead a few hours and perhaps risk the health of my child

I did both methods. I am a sahm so the only time i prepared an entire days worth was when i was going to be gone and left my daughter with my mil. My daughter didnt like.her formula to be heated up. She ate better and more for.us.if.it was cold and straight from the fridge. Her ped told us to do this often with get anyway bc it helped their digestive tracks. She had acid reflux really bad and never had a problem when the formula was cold.

I make a fresh bottle everytime any of my kids need one.

I didnt know you could prepare for the whole day. I always made my babies fresh bottles.

I make a fresh bottle each time just because it's easier to prepare than going through and warming up from the cool fridge, but I did it at night, made 2-3 bottles for night time, and put them in the fridge, I think the 2hr rule is for it sitting out in room temperature

They stay fresh in the fridge for 24hrs! Although the new rules is to make fresh every feed but seriously how many people do that. Everyone I know including myself have prepared enough bottles for day put them in fridge and warm up when needed! My 2 children and all my nieces, nephews and friends kids have had it like this and not one been ill!! X

I always had bottles prepared in the fridge.  I would make a pitcher of formula at a time.  I think the 2 hour rule is if it is sitting out....
