but i am so confused because i started with gonal 2nd versus day in my first and second icsi protocol, and after that i changed clinic and new doctor tell me to start with gonal 8th versus day

Gonal F is started when your doctor tells you that you should start it. I took it many times throughout my treatments and started it when my doctor told me to. Definitely start it and follow your doctor's directions on what to do and the certain dosages to take =) Best of luck!
