And for eyebrows...I get mine waxed every 3 weeks. I don't know why she would tell u that u can't cut or remove hair. I've never heard such a thing. I kno many woman who get bikini waxes due to not being able to see/reach that area. So get ur hair done n feel super cute while ur pregnant!!...as long as ur feeling well. Maybe she juz wants u to not look good. Idk. Lol
I am 26 weeks pregnant. I have have my hair cut, colored n highlighted a couple times throughout my pregnancy. My doctor said it was fine, n that the only problem is the smell might make me naseous, so be in a well ventilated space. My stylistic says see does a lot of pregnant girls, but most wait til they r out of their first trimester because of nasea.
I'm a hairstylist of 5+ years...you van color and cut your hair while pregnant just be in a well ventilated area when coloring...however henna is NEVER recommended for coloring your hair....especially on pregnant women! Henna is worse then bleaching your hair! I would recommend an ammonia free color line for your hair....the smell is more tolerable and the chemicals are not as strong or damaging to your hair!
thank all of u for all the advice! it does give me a piece of mind and probably i`ll going to shock her, lol! All reply is great!!! :)))
Not getting your haircut the entire pregnancy is ridiculous. That's just bad inlaw advice. The chemicals in hair colour have come along way since her days of pregnancy, and formulas used today are much safer whether you're pregnant or not. Two things to consider is good ventilation during processing and that extra pregnancy hormones effect the hair follicles which may lead to sections of hair that won't accept colour.
My doc said that I need to wait until the 2nd trimester for hair color. I'm sure you can get a cut at any time. While henna may be safe, your baby is at a critical time of development in the first trimester. I wouldn't risk it, but maybe you should ask your doctor about using henna for hair color. Using tweezers on unwanted hair should be fine - there are no chemicals involved.
I asked my ob gyn and he said it is totally fine to color ur hair
My hairdresser said that highlights is fine. I had mine done at 9 weeks. I am now 19 weeks. She also said that as long as the die does not reach your scalp - colouring your hair is fine. You can have haircut as well so, don't worry go pumper yourself. ))
Its perfectly safe to have your hair cut and wait until after your first trimester to have it colored. I waited til my third trimester to get my hair colored but also make sure your in a well ventilated room.
