happens to me too (im 32 weeks) along with random cramping in legs/ uterus/ hands etc...
its completely normal in pregnancy and nothing to worry over :-)
if you raise your hand above your heart and dont lay on it or you can try to drape it over the side of your bed it may help with the circulation.

best of luck xx

Its pretty common for pregnant women to have circulation issues. I sometimes wake up w/numbness in my hand(s) or arm(s) as well. It is compounded by poor sleeping positions, so make sure you're not laying too much weight on your arms or hands. It could also be carpel tunnel, but I wouldn't worry too much about that at this point. Discuss w/your doctor at your next visit.... and hope it gets better for you!

When I was pregnant this also happened to me. I think it is because pregnant women are more susceptible to the symptoms of carpel tunnel.

Are you sleeping with your arm and hand raised above your head? This can cause tingling and "falling asleep sensation" as well.. Just an idea. =)

I do this sometimes by accident.

Yep Jenniffer7784 is right i too have very bad carpal tunnel syndrome and it does make ur hands numb and tingley its caused by compression of the median nerve due to swelling and or water retention in your hands. It would be best to go to your doctor and he will be able to refer you to a physio therapist who will be able to give you excercises to help with it and maybe even braces for the effected hand/hands.

Mine does this and it is because I have carple tunnel (sp?) and so if I position my arm wrong it does it, ask your doctor about it.

maybe you are sleeping uncomfortably and it is causing your hand to go numbe (you might be sleeping on it whilst asleep & not realising)

Sorry i dont know any more about this.

This is the only thing i can think of as i have done it.

Hope someone else can help.
