having a cold/cough/congestion

So the last two days I've had a sore throat and it feels like I could cough something up, but when I cough nothing comes out. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can take that is safe for baby that can help with whatever it is that I have? Idk if its strep...it kind of hurts to swallow but its not too bad. I'm really hoping it's just a chest cold. But any suggestions on things that are safe to take?

If you feel bad enough go to the doc and they can give you an antibiotic. Feel better!! I have a sinus infection, 3rd one in 4 months :(

The list I was given said tylenol, tylenol cold and sinus (which idk if that even exists. Not around where I live at least lol) robitussin, plain halls cough drops, benadryl. Sudafed. And there were a few others. No advil/aleve of any kind. No alka seltzer. Mucinex, etc.

Check with your Dr. Mine said Tylenol and Benadryl only. I read that cough drops are ok but didn't really help me much. Just gotta suck it up unfortunately. I've had a headcold for 2 weeks :-/
