I have the same problem. I've had it through out the whole pregnancy. My Dr told me to take Ranitidine 150mg twice a day. Or once. Depending how bad it is. And just try to avoid greasy or spicy foods. Also don't eat to much. Instead eat several small meals throughout the day.
Gavicon is completely safe. Works too
Try not to eat right before bed........... A glass of milk usually helps me when I have heart burn or chewing gum
I drink a small cup of milk to stop the burning! Seems to help for me!:)
