I asked my Dr about this same thing because my friend only waited 4 weeks. She said everyone is different and we all heal at different rates. Just be mindful to yo utter body. I would give it a not her week or two just to be safe but if your not swollen, or in pain to the touch you should be fine just go slow. And use protection because you are very fertile.

You need to wait the full 6 weeks to make sure you heal correctly. If not, you could tear it again or cause it to heal wrong. You can also cause infection.
It may be a bit tender after 6 weeks. Be sure you use a bit of water based lube.

Your body needs more time to heal an go back to normal from delivery. When I had my daughter 11yrs ago and tore I waited 6wks. If you do feel up for it an chose to have sex use protection because you can get preg again real easy. Its your personal decision lots dont wait 6wks some do.
