The concern with kidney infections is that they can cause severe dehydration, and THAT'S what's dangerous for baby. I had a Kidney infection almost a year ago and was hospitalized for a week because I couldn't stop vomiting. (thankfully I wasn't pregnant at the time)

That sounds a lot like a UTI. I got the at home UTI test strips. After I got a positive result I called my doctor and they called me in a prescription. Whether you test at home or go to the doctor, you need to get treated soon. UTIs can spread to the kidneys and that is bad for you and the baby.
