Well there are a few things that people need to know in order to offer you advice...your profile says that you're 23, is your wife the same age?
How are you both as far as health is concerned...are either of you overweight?
do either of you smoke, or drink, or exercise excessively?
How long have you been trying to have a baby?
What methods have you been using?
Is your wife aware of her cycles, and does she have a good estimate of when during her cycle she ovulates? (generally 14 days before she expects her period to start is her ovulation)
Does she have regular periods?
Are there any fertility problems in the family? (yours OR hers)
what kind of birth control methods were you using before trying to conceive, and how long ago did you stop using those methods?

The best thing to do would be to have her answer all of those questions and the women on here can help you guys get started with a good idea of how to maximize your chances of conceiving.
Without any base knowledge, the best advice I can offer you is this...approximately 14 days before your wife's period is due to start every month, she will most likely be ovulating...approximately 3-5 days before this date and 2-3 days after will be her most fertile period during the month, and you and she should "do the dance" either once a day beginning approximately 5 days before her ovulation and ending approximately 3 days after her ovulation is expected to occur (it's not an exact science, mind you) or every other day....she should be taking prenatal vitamins NOW to maximize her pre-pregnancy health, and maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle..no drinking, smoking, drug use, etc...which can not only harm the baby but lower your chance of conceiving.

if she has been on a hormonal birth control method up until recently, it may take a few months for it to leave her system and allow her to conceive. it can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive even in the absence of any sort of fertility issues, so if you do not conceive right away there may be absolutely nothing wrong.

but these are all the scientific ways to conceive...the best way to make a baby is to have loving, regular sex as many times during the month as you can and as long as both of you are healthy with no fertility issues you will most likely conceive sooner than you think. bear in mind that the more you worry and stress about not conceiving, the harder conceiving becomes..so have fun with it. if it has been over a year that you have been trying, however, in the US you are eligible to be referred to a fertility expert who can test you both and make sure that there's nothing preventing you from conceiving naturally and help you both if it's needed.

good luck...and please have her answer the questions I asked above, it will help the ladies on here come up with a "game plan" for you guys :)

Well how about not using the term knocked up? LOL. She needs to know when she ovulates and then have sex within her fertile time (5 days before and a day after ovulation). It can take healthy couples up to 12 months to conceive so it may take a while even if you are doing everything on time! Good luck!
