high uterine resistance index

My wife is currently in her 24th week of pregnancy. The problem is that her uterine resistance index has not come down to around 0.55 as expected by this stage of pregnancy, but remained around 0.75, and is still at this level. I understand that this indicates a problem with blood inflow to uterus, as the amount of blood that reaches the uterus in a specific period of time is lower that it should be. I know that this can affect the size of the baby, i.e. the speed of the baby's growth. My question is: apart from the growth (size) of the baby slowdown, can this resistance index issue (if it remains at the same level) cause some structural damage to the baby, its brain or anything like that? Thank you very much for your answers.

Thank you very much. We got some contrary opinions, so I wanted to check whether there is a doctor here that might be able to inform me a bit, all the data I can get is valuable.

I'm not to sure . So I'm going to Bump this back up to the top to see if any of the other woman may have an answer for you . But I'm sure if you call your wifes doctor he or she will be able to answer that question and concerns more clearly.
