how long before...

How long before my due date do I start washing my baby's clothes? A week, a few days?

You're supposed to wash anything that touches baby because of the chemicals they use. A friend of mine washed everything except the changing pad cover and her son got a terrible rash from it.

I am 28 weeks and starting to get clothes washed. They were my daughters and though they were washed prior to being placed unless boxes, they have been sitting in my basement for a year and a closet for a year before that!

I never washed any of it before hand in case some of it was too small.

I didn't know you were suppose to wash them. I didn't with my first child. Is it because of the dyes?
