induce now or wait

Question

Im 39 and 5/7s. I went in for my check up and my bp was 134/100 so they did a stress test my blood pressure went down to 133/83. The doctor said i was only dilated to 1cm 25% n said that if i induce now the failure rate is 75% but i could wait till next week if i wanted to but the chances of the induction getting any better may not change.. i chose to go home n to have the induction Wednesday .. just want some feed back if anyone has had this issue.. this is my first n this is the first complication ive had

As long as your blood pressure stays down I would not induce. Watch what you eat and get plenty of rest if you can. Like others said, how much you're dilated means nothing because it can change within hours so you could go any day now. Best of luck.

you have to make sure your b/p is good .......keep a eye On what you eating nd doing, also if you can wait then do so but if you b/p go up then let them........b/p is not anything to play with when you with child..............i work in l&d for 4 yrs i'm still here .........lol but i love my job.........

I wouldn't induce at all. You don't have actual complications and a due date is not always exact! I waited it out with my son and had him 12 days after he was due. He was big but he just wasn't ready till then. Induction is hard on your body- if you wait till baby is ready..it'll be a lot better on you and them!

Complication?? Your not having any complications :). You could go into labor at any moment!! By tmr you could be dialated and effaced!! Its very common to go past your due date...dont worry yourself. Your right on track!! Good Luck!!

This is my first as well. I'm due on Sunday. I just came from the doctor today and I'm 1 1/2cm dilated and about 90% thinned. I have a scheduled induction for Wednesday May 30, that's if she doesn't come before then.
