induced?

I know a lot of women that got induced just because they didnt want to want any longer on their baby to come. If my doctor recommend it I have the right to deny it right?

If you go over 40 weeks is it hard to push the baby out

Absolutely! I think its selfish to say "I chose to have sex and get pregnant and carry this child owes me a favor and should get out of me now". After 41wks I will consider it, but especially since there is huge debate about pushing full term to 42wks now, why in the WORLD someone would induce before 40wks (unless theres a risk to mom or baby) is toootally beyond me.

Yes you absolutely have that right. A lot of times doctors will try to "scare" you with things like babys to big, or hips are too small, or in my case your blood pressure is making me nervous. Which don't get me wrong there are situations where it is necessary, but as of late more and more doctors are using induction to schedule their days per say. If this end up happening to you try and get a second opinion. That is my plan for my next one. I was talked into it because of my blood pressure. Which yes it was elevated but still in the normal range and had been the same for several months. I was getting regular nst's and she was always happy in there. Truth is they had an opening in their scheduling and needed to fill it. I had an awful experience and will never let that drug anywhere near my body again. Sorry for the long rant.
