Is it okay to take benadryl while you are pregnant? I have trouble breathing at night because of my sinus head cold/allergies. I don't noramlly like to take anything medications, but I need some relief. Just wondering if it's good or bad. Thanks!
my dr said it was okay to take it...when i was in the hospital once during this pregnancy they gave it to me to help me sleep..so i dont see why not..even the list of "safe meds to take during pregnancy" said you can take it..you know you can also take claritin or how ever you spell it.
My doctor said it was ok. My uncle is a pediatrician and he also said it was ok. I took it last time I was pregnant when my allergies were horrible! So far the pollen is just starting in this area now, so I havent had to take anything yet, but I am sure I will!
I have taken 1 benadryl every night for the last 2 pregnancys because my allergys (allergies) are so bad at night. My doc has ok'ed it and I have never had any problems. Like a few other posters has said, make sure its regular benadryl. It also helps you fall asleep. I usually take mine a bedtime and it helps with the snezzing and sometimes the congestion. You can try saline nasal spray too, it will help clear you up. My doctor has said no to any type of nasal spray thats medicated but the plain ol saline water is ok.
