I checked with my doctor because I used to get my nails done every 2 weeks.  She said it was absolutly fine.

I stopped having them done because they were irritating me (hormones) LOL

good luck and enjoy!!

Honestly, I would wait until you have the baby since you only have 2 1/2 weeks.  Part of why I say this, is because you may find it harder to get them filled after the baby comes.  So once the baby is here you will know if you have time or not rather than waste the money to get them put back on.  Plus, why not just wait that short of time to get it done rather than risk anything if you are concerned.  I would think if its ok to get your hair highlighted then you could get your nails done also.

i don't think you're in danger girlie.....but rather than have acrylics done until you are 10+ weeks(which will be about when you're ready for a "fill" anyways lol), just do a manicure....some places are actually able to "sand" down the end of the acrylic closest to your cuticle low enough, that it can be painted a solid color of your choice, and no one has to know.....

I am was a nail tech for 11 years till I had my dd.  I worked through two of my pg's and both children are fine and healthy.  If you do decide to get them done, remember to make sure the place is well ventalated.  Another thing is that due to hormones, the nails may pop off.  When I was pg I could not keep them on, they would just peel off due to hormones.  Also make sure the place is clean, you don't want to risk any infections.  And I hate to say it, but most of the salons or nail places that are mostly asian, they do use a chemical with a stronger odor and do not always use approved product.  They fill containers labeled with the proper product but filled with something different a lot of times.

you should be fine....i started getting my nails done before i got pregnant(lol, well more like around this time last year!), and the only time i've quit doing them, was the first 12 weeks, and that worked out anyways, as since i'd moved i couldnt find any salons i liked....after i hit about 13 weeks or so, i get acrylics, and i get them filled every 2-3 weeks, depending on how much my nails grow....it's great "therapy" for me, my friend that's pregnant, and our other friend who isn't lol....so it takes 3 of us to get the job done hehehe!!!   plus, our salon where we go does the most AWESOME pedicures with the lotion, ohhhhh yeasssss.....haha....but i'm paranoid when it comes to certain things, so when it comes to my pedi's, i only allow the woman to trim my nail length, file and paint.....that's it.....i'm wierd.....

I think that if you do decide to go, I would wear one of the masks that the technician's wear.  And, see if you can get a booth close to ventilation.  I know that it is recommended not to do that during the 1st trimester, but I am not sure in the 3rd.
