I did IUI usually you take fertility meds clomid and ovadriel and at ovulation they take sperm either your husband or donors wash it and then the OB inserts it past your cervix. Usually they do 2 when you are ovulating 1 then 24 hours later a second
They take the sperm and "wash it" by picking out the good swimmers, then the doctor injects it past the cervix while you are ovulating so the sperm can get to the egg faster. They don't take your eggs out that would be IVF.
