labor and induction

I have a doctors appointment at 10:30 am tomorrow to be check one last time. Last friday i was still not dilated and have been 50% effaced for the last three weeks. They are going to induce me this coming sunday oct 7th and my nerves are shot ill be 40 WEEKS 4 DAYS and they said theres no reason to hold her in. Im a panic mess over being induced, i could use some comments on labor, induction and everything else. I am a first time mother and am driving my spouse nuts.

I went today im finally 1 cm dilated and 80% effaced but they are going to induce me sunday at 5. My dr said my cervix are very favorable but i dont get what that means ? Bump

i was induced with all 4 of my children... and have number 5 on the way. i think its great! i was induced between 38-39 weeks. and it was so nice.. and no complications

I'm a first time mom an was induced 5 months ago @ 38.5 weeks. It wasn't bad at all! I'd like to do it again with my next child because i had such a good experience. I never had any sort of pain. I got the epidural early on and they broke my water shortly after. I had the baby 4 hours later. I liked the fact that everything went smooth and it was a go with the flow type of situation instead of being "a surprise". It gave me time to take everything in and take everything as it came.

Don't try castor oil unless its approved by your doctor...it can cause baby to take its first bowel movement plus its not going to work unless your body is ready...like the other lady said you have up to two weeks hun

yes you are so right, it is just an estimate, nothing set in stone.

Drink castrol oil its a laxtaivte drink it mixed in coke or whatever u like and within two hours u will start

Ive felt no braxton hicks contractions no anything i feel great and my daughters still real high and hasnt dropped. My nerves about labor are kicking in due to the fact i never did birthing classes or anything. Any ways besides sex an walking to jump start labor?

I made it clear at my last appointment i didnt really see a logical reason due to all my fluid levels are good, my blood pressure, her heart rate ect but he said the longer u go over due could cause a still born. I dont blieve that bc a due dates just an estimate but im reall worked up and frusterated with the whole thing. I said no to induction at 3 days over my due date and moved it till 4 days.

I wouldnt let them induce me unless i.was 2 weeks overdue. only bc then it can get dangerous. Tell them you want to wait and see if baby comes on own
