leaking fluid

Im 31 weeks pregnant. Whenever I sit a way I leak fluid. Its not discharge or pee. Its clear and has a little smell to it. What could it be?

If you think you are leaking fluid you need to GO to labor & delivery...they can do a simple swab test to see if that is in fact what it is....don't just let them LOOK, make them do the swab test.  If you ARE leaking fluid it opens up a world of potential risks.  HOw far along are you?

I would call L&D and see if they want you to come in and get checked out. Keep us posted.

yes, amniotic fluid does have a sweet smell and its clear like water. i would definatly have that cheaked cuz it sounds it to me. amniotic fluid doesnt always gush out, sometimes it is just a trickle here and there.

You should probably have it checked by your doctor to be on the safe side.  They can do a swab test to make sure you're not leaking amniotic fluid.  I've read that it would have kind of a sweet smell.
