ok so everywhere i read it says the linea nigra appears third trimester..then why am i just barely 10 weeks and it has already reared its ugly head?is this normal.i mean i know it isnt anything bad but y so early???
i am very white too and mine is very visible...lol;..so i think it just depends on the person i dont even remember if i ever got one at all with my first pregnancy to be honest...
Oh... and I forgot.. I'm actually very WHITE. lol, Not super pale, but I have a ton of pink tones in my skin... maybe that's why I don't have one?

Linea Nigra can show up anytime really. In my pregnancy book it says it usually starts in the end of the first trimester or the beginning of the second trimester and for other it does not appear until later in the pregnancy.

yes linea im sorry i didnt realize i missed a letter..lol..i have no issue with it..i like mine to i was just hoping i wasnt the only odd one who got it this soon...
shadowserpent, a linea nigra is a line from your belly button to your pubic bone. It can get darker when pregnant.

I never had one! If I did, it was really light. But I have seen women with a definite line!
Mine showed very quickly to and now 7 months after my son's birth I still have a little bit left.
mine appeared when i was about 21 or 22 weeks. it's really light. i love the line, i think it's cute! plus as it gets darker it reminds me that my little fruit is getting riper :-) i think everyone is different. it supposedly appears sooner for those with darker skin. i noticed mine started darkening when i began spending more time at the pool.
i had mines when i found out i was pregnant that was one of my signs now im 33 weeks it just got darker throughtout the pregnancy
