line on your stomach?

my mom keeps mentioning tis line you get on your stomach wen you get bigger...wen does that start to happen?

I never had it with my first 2. I read it happens more often to darker women.

I don't have it I just grew a hair line on my belly but from bottom to top lol and I'm 38weeks and 2days

this is my fourth pregnancy and i've had one everytime.. dont worry, it goes away after birth

I'm 37 weeks with a boy and I got mine when I was around 4-5 months and mine goes all the way up.

the lines negra i got it w my first at 6 months.. w this one im just getting it now at 32 weeks. it goes away a few days after u give birth so no biggie lol

I have it all the way from top to bottom and I'm having a boy lol it's dark too and I've had it since about 3 or 4 months

I never got it with my first don't have it with this one I'm 32+ wks. The only line I see is the hairs on my tummy lol!

I'm 30weeks and have had mine since I think 3 months. It goes from my sternum to my pelvis. I also happen to be having twins and from what it sounds like the wives tales mentioned above are right because I'm having a little boy and a little girl lol. :)

Its called the linea nigra and its caused by hormones. Theres an old wives tale that says if it goes to your belly button you're having a girl. If it goes all the way up to your sternum its a boy. Mine is super light an you can hardly see it. I'm 31w. Some women get one, some don't. Some are light an some a dark. Its caused by the same hormones that make your nipples darker.

It's called a linea nigra and it is caused by hormones much like the darker nipples and armpits pregnant women can get.. I didn't get it with my first pregnancy and so far haven't with this one either.. You might get it you might not.
