I had 2 boys.  Both times, it looked as though I didn't have the linea nigra while I was pregnant...But after I delivered and my belly went back down to it's normal size, I noticed that I did!  I'm 8 weeks postpartum now and have a blackish belly button, too!

This is my 5th and I never had one before and this time you can barely see it. I mean barely. I see more woman have this that their breasts get darker. I am pretty light most of the time up top and not much difference at all.

The Chinese predictor was right with all my other children but not this one. I am having a boy and the line I do have goes form my belly button all the way down.

I have a linea nigra which goes from my belly button down to my pelvis. I'm having a boy. But, I have never heard of anything about that dark line and the role it plays in deciding gender.

i think this is a wives tale. i have one that starts at by breasts and goes all the way down to my pubic bone. but below my belly button it shifts over to my left. so they're not even. im having a girl. a friend of mine has the same thing and she's having a boy.
