OK, I am going nuts here...lol  I am 18 days late for my second month of missed AF.   My last normal AF was June 13, 2009.  In July...on the 11th I had minuscule bleeding for less than an hour...then nothing.  My periods have been regular for a year now...which in itself is amazing after going 9 years without a period and getting pregnant 3 times in that 9 year span.  Yes, I am an enigma to my doctors...*sigh*  Now it is Aug 26th ans still nothing....no signs of it trying to start or anything.  I am peeing every 30 minutes or so which is VERY unusual for me, I'm moody, tired, had sore breasts for a month, but that's better now, and have lost like 25 lbs.  The weight loss is something that always happens when I get pregnant...drastic weight loss.  I took a test today that is supposed to be ultra sensitive (urine) and got a BFN.  It actually made me cry...I was so sure.  My husband was sure...and both of us are VERY disappointed.  Is it possible to have a neg this long afterwards??  Is it possible to be preg without hcG?  I guess if anyone could do that it would be me, but I want answers!!  :-(  This is so frustrating.  My doc won't do a blood test w/o a BFP HPT.  I'm definitely not able to get an ultrasound without that BFP, either.  So what do I do?  Can anyone help?  You would think after 4 kids, this would be simple, but apparently, it isn't.  *sigh*

Well, I can agree that doctors just seem to make it worse when they can't tell you anything reassuring. I have missed 2 periods and have had all the home pregnancy tests, including blood and urine tests in a clinic come out negative. I am 25 and have had one healthy pregnancy that showed positive on a HPT  when I was only 3-4 days late. Then about 4 months ago I had an ectopic wich showed up positive on a HPT before I even assumed I was pregnant! I only took the pregnancy test because I called a nurse to ask why I would have "another period" less than a week after I just finished one, and then bleed for 2 weeks sraight! She said I might be pregnant, and I should probably go to the ER. Not having insurance, I was not eager to go to the ER and have them tell me its just a period. That would be embarrassing!  I took the test, pregnant, yikes!, went to ER, to make a long story short it was ectopic and I had surgery because it was about to burst. They said I was about 3-5 weeks along. Now 4 months later, my husband and I have been trying to concieve. After missing my period for 2 weeks, I went to my clinic and had a urine test come out negative. They were not going to give me a blood test yet, but I raised hell because I had a previous ectopic and I urged them that they would be putting my health at risk if they did not give me a blood test. Well, it came out negative. Then they tried to tell me that maybe I want to be pregnant so bad that my period had stoped for psychological reasons. NOPE! I told them that I want another baby, but I am in no hurry, but when a person who has had normal regular periods since she was 12 suddenly stops for no reason. I will not accept! They tested my blood for thyroid and did a pap. All tests turned out completely normal. Now its been over a month and no answers. I am taking my prenatals and taking the best care of myself that I can because I have some symptoms of pregnancy. Mostly, the missed periods and my breasts seem fuller. I am very moody and emotional lately. I know this wasn't caused by stress in the first place, but its hard not to stress over your body keeping secrets from you, especially after an ectopic. Its hard not to worry, but I am assuming that I am just pregnant. I have read other posts from 2007 that some women missed their peroids and didn't have a positive on their home pregnancy tests till almost 4 months. Thats what I am relying on for my answer! I will continue to test every month when my period is supposed to be due until I get a period or a positive. I will keep alert to the signs of a ruptured tube as well. I am not really looking for any answers on here, but I am putting all my experiences down to help other confused women make heads or tails of their own missed period dillemmas! Hope this helps...and I am always open for comments or suggestions that may help ease my mind, too!

Wow, I don't really know what is going on. I think at this point you should get an ultrasound in 2 weeks to see if there is any growth and a heartbeat!
