low hcg level and ivf

I have done IVF, my first blood test (day 15) HCG level was 25, than they ask me to test it again 2 days later, (it went up to 61) then another test on the 20day (hcg went up to 126).  They call me up and say because the number was so low at first that it might be ectopic pregancy, they want me to go in next week friday for utral sound.  I am very worry, and depressed.  They did not say I am pregnant or not, they just say I don't konw until the utral sound.  They even said it might just be a empty sack.  They don't know.

My RE said he has seen healthy pregnancies start with an hCG level of only 5 on day 14.  Try not to worry.  Yours more than doubled in the first comparison, and almost doubled in the second.  HCG levels can vary even on the same day, so try not to fret.  You *are* pregnant, they just want to be sure everything is right.

I'm sorry to hear that, I went through the same thing in 2009 and my pregnancy was ectopic. My numbers were also low but later began to double like a ormal pregnancy. Unfortunately es you have to wait and see if the ultrasound shows anything. However, I have read posts of women with very low HCg and they go and have a healthy baby..so all you can do know is pray..good luck hun.

Big hugs to you my friend! Have hope and never lose faith!!! Doctors have been known to be wrong before! Your numbers need to double every 24-72 hours to be a viable pregnancy. Best of luck to you and NEVER lose hope!!!
