I had an MC last months my HCG levels dropped within 48 hours, you need to have another blood test, they can go back up but like k10road said you could have lost a twin and they will go back up, Dont try to worry too much, I know its hard to say that, but that will make things worse :(.

I am sorry you're going through this I really am, I know its not very nice, if they havent offered one demand another blood test....

Sorry, I Hope for the best.

As everyone else has suggested, they should be checked again to see for sure what they are doing.  But generally, if they drop, that usually indicates a miscarriage or impending miscarriage.  The other possibility is that it could be what is called "vanishing twin."  This is where you were pregnant with twins, and then one "vanishes."  Basically, you lose one twin.  This sometimes does cause bleeding, and it does explain the drop in hcg without total miscarriage.  Good luck.  I am sorry you are going through this.

Unfortunatly your levels should be going up so it could very well indicate a miscarriage.  So sorry you have to go through this.  Are they going to be checking another level?  How far do you think you are?   How much did your levels drop?  Again sorry you have to go through all this.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. IIf your levels are dropping than its a miscarriage. In healthy pregnancies the levels double every 48-72 hours. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and I only spotted once for like 30 minutes.

I think that you need to have your hcg levels tested every 48 hours to see which direction they are going. Usually if levels drop then it does mean that a miscarriage is impending. I am sorry that you are going through this but if your levels rise and then fall and then rise again it could be an indication of a blighted ovum or a chemical pregnancy. Definitely request that your doctor check your levels again. Good luck.
