Thanks Stephanie. Congrats on your baby girl. I think Thursday I am going to ask Dr about injections versus suppositories because we want this baby more than anything.
I found out at 5weeks.
My progesterone levels were very low so my dr put me on the shots all the way to my 12th week. They do hurt but I believe its worth the pain. 27+5 now expecting a girl.
Good luck :)
What medication was she put on. The injections are the best form of treatment but also the most painful.
Nope no bed rest not even put at high risk. I continued as normal with everything I until my hormones got where they needed to be
Congratulations on your baby girl
Where you on bed rest or continued as normal?
Ok. I will try to relax and enjoy her pregnancy. Were you on bed rest or were you able to continue as normal?
I was seeing a fertility specialist however I never needed amy fertility treatments a regular ob should be able to take care of her just fine. Just relax and let nature take its course I understand feeling scared trust me I was. But best thing to do is relax take the meds and see how it goes.
Thank you for responding. She is seeing a ob that is highly recommended for high risk pregnancies, however not a specialist. They started her on the suppositories and she goes back on the 26th to see if the baby is growing and heart is still beating. I just feel so helpless and don't know how to help my daughter. What type of specialist should we be looking for? Again, thank you.
I had a progesterone issue and they put me on injections once a night then switched me to a suppositories at 18 weeks and I ended up on progesterone until 21 weeks after finding out I was pregnant at 5 weeks. I'm 34 weeks now with a healthy baby girl. But the progesterone does not prevent a miscarriage if the pregnancy is non viable. Most women only need pprogesterone support until 12 weeks. There isnt anything you can do to prevent a miscarriage if it happens it happens I wish I could tell you different but I've been there. If you would like to somehow add me as a friend or message me I would be happy to answer questions based on my experience.
It is said that after the 1st trimester the risk of miscarriage drops tremendously. I know there are hormone cocktail shots but I'm not to sure on how many weeks you need to be to get started. Is she seeing a specialist if not one should be recommended.
