lower back pain

Ok I'm 40w and 3d. I'm having lower back pain like strong period cramps, but they come and go every 30 mins. And they have been happening since last night. But I haven't lost my mucus plug or my water hasn't broken. Jus pain. What should I do. Is this a sign or labor.

My midwife suggests electrolyte balancing drinks like gatorade or maple syrup is good for energy too during labor. You don't want to have no energy! I'm 36+2 and starting to get nervous! Good luck!

Oh you had a bath? Are you able to get walking around? Keep yourself upright so gravity will help dilate you.

I would def try the bath. It can go either way- it could slow things down so you can get some rest or speed things up.

I had to get my water broken so don't count on labour not happening if yr water hasn't broken. Id say yr at start of labour. Goodluck

Sounds like the beginning of back labour. Were you able to sleep through them? I'm betting it'll turn into full blown labour shortly. Keep timing it and hopefully they'll get closer together.
I feel for you- I had back labour with both kids and it's not fun.
