medicaid/foodstamps

Does anyone have either of these. I'm trying to get both and not sure why I'm having such a hard time.

Not to mention healthily start vouchers which pays for you baby milk formula and once they are on solid food you can use it on fresh milk and fruit and vegetables to promote healthy diets x

I'm sorry if I cause any offence I really don't mean to but I live in the UK and if your a single parent or pregnant and not working you can apply for income support which is around 150 pounds every two weeks then you get child benefit and child tax credits which depending on your circumstances and how many children you have can be upto 200 a week and you get free prescriptions for a year after your baby is born and while you are pregnant plus free dental and eye tests not to mention your rent and council tax paid in full, I mean my partner dos work so I don't get income support but we get tax credits which adds up to an extra 800 pound onto or my partners salary and I thought we had it bad here I feel for you all x

I know in Arkansas medicaid takes FOREVER. I was lucky I had applied for regular medicaid about 3 months earlier due to I had to quit my job to be with my daughter and take her to all her doc appointments. I also had food stamps before and when I got her back I added her to them. My kids daddy pays our rent, but he lives with his parents and will till we get married. I also get wic. I got wic the day I went in. But medicaid and fs is way behind here that's what I was told they are running about 3-4 months behind on approvals.

If your pregnant u automatically qualify for Medicaid. U need to go apply. And food stamps is also easy to get on If ur pregnant depending on ur entire house income a month.

I had both a few months ago now just have medicaid. Medicaid was easier than foodstamps! They kept saying i needed more and more paperwork for foodstamps i turned everything in they said i needed then when i didnt get foodstamps for the 2nd month (hubby was unemployed at the time) i called and was told i still had paperwork missing paperwork they never said i had needed. I got tired of dealing with phone calls not returned and them giving me the run around and not telling me that i still needed paperwork or saying i still needed paperwork i already turned in and just gave up on it. We lived off hot dogs and mac and cheese for a few weeks and then hubby found a job and we got back on our feet

When ur pregnant you can usually get Medicaid within a couple of days if you have no job ask them about emergency food stamps they should give them to you within a couple of days also and you can probably get some type of cash assistance depending on your state

I have both. Foodstamps didn't take as long, it was like 3 days before we got approved. I have temp Medicaid that covers only my pregnancy and 2 months after, once that's said and done I can then apply for insurance for my baby. I'm sure it depends on your state though

I've been trying to get WIC at least then worry about food stamps. I have insurance. And I live with my boyfriends parents and apparently they make to much, but its barely enough to get by, they aren't well off so I don't really know what to do. And does anyone know if for Medicaid will accept my son when he's born even if I'm not on it? Cause I'm on my moms insurance which doesn't cover him.

They're a pain in the butt..
I haven't had my food stamps in over 6 months because of it.
I have two health insurances and a job though, so I'm doing alright.

I have meficaid and got it right away as well as foodstamps I recieve 506 a month for food but I think its because I am considered high risk and have multiple medical problems that need to be addressed from day one.

I just moved in with my sister in a new town. Crashing on her couch for now. I have no job and I'm sick and can't afford the meds they're prescribing me and Medicaid is taking forever. U got wic today and they said come Wednesday for foodstamps. Any idea how much I'll get a month? I'm 26 weeks and its just me applying

I am on both. Food stamps was easier to get than medical. Medical took about a month to kick in.  I also have wic.   I was working until I got pregnant. And I was still able to get the assistance

I have both, they are a pain in the butt to keep up on and my agent lady takes for ever to return calls and answer questions about my benefits and it takes 3 weeks to make ANY changes and sometimes even longer to get set up originally.
