Hi I just want to know is your daughter doinq okay? I'm so sorry u couldn't make it full term I wish you the very best .
i did not hold in there long. i delivered c section yesterday at 27 weeks and 1 day bc i got an infection n the antibiotics wouldnt help. my daughter weighs 2lbs and 13in long. she was on a ventilator and a day later she is already off n onto a cpap...
Sweetheart0686- if your water breaks in later pregnancy when the baby is at term then yes they deliver the baby within 18 hours because of the risk of infection. But when it is this early they keep the baby in because it doesnt have a good chance of survival if born now.
Pray4serenity- Honestly it doesn't look good. The steroids they give for the lungs are just supposed to help them develop faster. At 26 weeks its still so early that it wouldn't do much. The only thing you can do is try to hang in there as long as possible. In 2 weeks the pregnancy is viable which means if the baby was to be born that time their would be a good chance of survival. There was a lady a couple years ago whose water broke at 25 weeks I believe and she delivered at 28 weeks and her baby was perfect. Miracles happen. I'm sure everything will be fine.
it broke but im still producing fluids and they come out everytime... her heartbeat is strong and i started to get an infection and by white bloodcount was 15.3 and it went up to 15.7 and today its back to 15.3. all day yesterday there was blood in my urine but today thats cleared up.. they have givin me steroids for her lungs twice
If ur water broke n u haven't deliveried that's not good... they're suppose to delevery u 24 hrs after ur water breaks to make sure u n the baby don't get an infection... so if ur on bedrest its probably jus leaking...
Hope everything goes well... good luck
Most likeky you will not carry to full term. If only because the doctors will want to take the baby out as soon as it would be OK for her/him to be out. It really depends on if your water broke or is leaking. If it broke then it is very hard on the baby since the baby needs amnionic fluid to practice breathing and since its lungs aren't fully developed it can cause issues if there isn't enough. The best thing to do would be to talk to your doctor and get as much information as possible out of them. I am really sorry you are going through this I hope everything turns out OK.
