A lot of women don't ovulate on day 14 (like me) and even for women who are generally regular and do, it's possible to have an off month and ovulate early or late. The only way to know if you're ovulating and therefore your window for conception each month is to chart your cervical mucus/basal body temp like people do when they're trying to have a baby, or use ovulation tests. Both would be time consuming and/or expensive, when you could use condoms instead. I got pregnant outside of the normal window of ovulation, using the withdrawal method AND birth control pills. My pregnancy was unplanned but not unwanted, so if you really don't want a baby you should be on birth control, and he should use condoms every time. Even then there's a slight chance.
Not much, as you can ovulate outside of them. Nothing is 100% accurate in determining ovulation, and there are no "safe" days.
there's no accuracy in using the fertility calendar then?
Yes, I got pregnant on approximately cycle day 19. I apparently ovulated late.
It's very possible then, especially if she ovulates a few days later than others do. At this point it's just a wait and watch game.
usually the cycle is 30days
Depends on when she ovulates and how long her cycle is. The withdrawal method is not birth control and will not prevent pregnancy. Wait to see if you get your next cycle and take a pregnancy test with first morning urine if you do not. Unless you want a baby, you need to use condoms at all times.
