metallic taste

Does a really bas taste in mouth mean iron defficincy ??? I recently just started getting it really bad, this morning it was so bad I asked my Bf if my mouth was bleeding and it wasn't. What is this?

Yeah I do, I just had my blood work done last night and my white blood cell count is up so I have an infection, which explains my really bad cough and had two colds this month

its normal that taste can happen for a couple reason but mainly its due to your prenantal pills if you take them

I had Iron deficiency anemia while pregnant and never had a metallic taste in my mouth. What I had was fatigue and weakness, as well as dizziness and a strong desire for dirt (PICA). Dysgeusia (or a metallic taste in the mouth) is a common complaint that many pregnant women have. Food is the best way to help combat it, particularly sour foods.
