O.K., thanks, that makes sense. I know what my friend took was "Plan B" and that's what the health dept. told me about it.  I thought it was the same pill and was wondering what the big stink over it was, but I guess the controversy wasn't over "Plan B", but the abortion pill. Sorry, didn't know there were two.

like the other ladies said she just has to wait. if she gets an early response test she can take it up to 5 days before her missed period or (which i personally think is best) wait till her af is due and take a digital test then. a dollar store one will work but with a digital test there's no confusing lines or anything. it says right there pregnant, not pregnant. there's no confusion on that one. lol. i took three regular line tests and a digital. after the digital blurted out PREGNANT i was happy and convinced i was pregnant. lol. if she doesn't want to take an hpt she should go to her ob for a blood test. if she is pregnant she should schedule her appointment for as soon as possible and start on prenatals. good luck to her either way and keep us updated!

i took a morning after pill and i'm 13 weeks 3 days pregnant after it. i took it 12/13 hours after sex. your friend is best to test when her period is missed ( day after she's due on)

Mommom2~ the abortion pill RU486 is called that for a reason. there is a difference between that and plan B. obviously cells are forming before implantation. that's a baby no matter what anyone says.  not to offend you. but that's why there's been such contraversy on it. IDK if she took plan B or RU486....... so I'm not saying anything about that. I'm just trying to clarify. :)

I agree.  This question is completely, 100%, welcomed here!  What the ladies said before is true.  Your friend may need to test or see a Dr.  Just to be sure.  I'm wishing her the best.  God Bless, Anita

What the health dept. told me when I questioned the morning after pill for a friend is that it stops implantation. So yes, there still is a possibility if implantation had already happened when she took it. It does not abort the baby if one is already being formed.

I agree with Alaysha~ This forum is for ANYONE even those who've had babies! or just have questions. Sometimes people need a place they can go to ask questions and get answers and if anyone knows it would be those on the pregnancy forum.

Its exactly like Alaysha & Tracy21 said wait until AF is due & take a test if she doesnt show. I hope you get the result your hoping for.

Alaysha is completely right In what she says-what gives anyone the right to determined what is a right or wrong subject to talk about-pregnancy isnt always a happy event & they need help to!
Everyone feel free to voice & ask whatever questions you need to-you should feel free to do so without certain individuals taking it upon themselves to shut you down.
Its a free for all-I might also say there is a forum for people TTC its called fertility so please dont shut others out who have different views to you!

CookieBaby I hope your friend gets the result she desires & keep us updated. If she is there is plenty of advice out there-you only need to ask-Take care.

Wow. No this forum is for ANYONE who is trying to get pregnant or might be pregnant or is pregnant. Her question is completely allowed on here.

As for your question cookiebaby the morning after pill is 85% effective and looses effectiveness the longer you delay taking it after unprotected sex. I took the morning after pill the morning after having sex and still ended up pregnant. It is however very effective and the odds of that happening are low. Have her take a pregnancy test when her period is due to make sure that she isn't indeed pregnant.

uhhh it might not have worked bc she might already be pregnant. if you are already pregnant then it isnt going to take...or she could be about to start her period. u might be able to find a forum that suites this question a little better. this is for women that are preggo and excited about it.

It could be cause shes about to get her period BUT this is not the right forum to post this on.

This forum is for women who really want to get pregnant and are having issues getting pregnant.
