mosquitos?!

I am being eaten to pieces by mosquitos and the itchiness is driving me insane. I have mosquito repellant spray but the chemicals in them stink I just dont think its a good idea for me to be inhaling them every day I doubt it will do the baby any good.
Does anyone know any natural remedies to 1. Stop the buggers biting me and 2. To stop the itching?

Coming from africa i know very well how mosquitoes are annuisance especially with the risk of malaria.i normally close windows very early during the day and i use electric mosquito repellent or there are some  mosquito repellent petroleum gels as well.

I would use alcohol but im muslim living in a muslim country haha so that could be a bit hard haha

Use alcohol to stop the itching from the bites.

Incense helps with mosquito .!! I use to get bitten by them a lot and i started lighting up about four pointing in different directions before I went to bed amd I stopped getting bitten :)

We've even put a mosquito net over our bed and I try to cover up as much as possible but they still get me. Its so hot here I cant sleep in long sleeves and bottoms. The buggers have even bitten the bottom of my feet so now im having to wear socks. I've heard of the toothpaste thing but not the deodorant I might try that, thanks :) mosquitos are just relentless im clearly very tasty haha

Mosquitoes are something I'm not ready to deal with while being pregnant, because I usually develop allergic reactions to their bites and I'm not sure if it would be worse or not while pregnant, so I'm looking for tips also on how to not get them to bite

I use either deodorant or toothpaste on my bites and the itching stops lol.Got those remedies from my grandma.Pregnant women are a favorite meal for mosquitoes. So if u do decide on repellent make sure it has the substance Deet in it && remember that the worse times for mosquitoe bites are early morning n night time.
