You aren't drying out, trust me!! It's a growth spurt, you will go from huge pam anderson boobs to flat, deflated, feeling like there is NOTHING in them, a fussy, crying, CONSTANTLY eating baby.. it's a growth spurt and it will pass within a few days.. keep offering her the breast and don't supplement or your body won't signal to produce more. Around 3-4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks etc. are growth spurts.. mine lasted almost a week and a half between 4-6 weeks because she went through both of them together. If your baby is getting 4-6 wet diapers a day, she's getting enough milk. If you need a break and want to supplement, offer the breast for at least 5 minutes before giving a very small amount of formula, maybe 1-1.5ozs and then it won't throw off her feeding schedule. I've went through this a few times during my growth spurts and I thought I was drying out.. and I'm SO glad I didn't stop breastfeeding, my daughter is 3 months old and we're still doing great BF'ing. Don't give up!! :) I'll post the link to my "worried about supply" posts, and you can see the responses I got. Also, I drank mothers milk tea 3 times, that all I could get down it was DISGUSTING!! It tastes like grass haha. I read on the breastfeeding forum about fenugreek, it's an herb in pill form, completely natural, no side effects and used for AGES to boost milk supply, a LOT of women I've talked to have said it improved milk supply within hours.. you can take 1-6 capsules a day and I use it during these growth spurts. You can get it at any place that sells extended vitamins like walmart, walgreens, etc. Good luck hun!!
