night gown (the hospital gowns suck)
your own pads (again the hospitals suck)
undies
going home clothes
shoes
toiletries (i have sensitive skin so i always take my own stuff if i stay overnight anywhere)
if you want make up, blow dryer, hair stuff (i just dried my hair and threw it in a pony tail)
cell phone/charger
lap top
snacks (the hospital i was in charged way too much for munchy stuff)
pillow
slippers (i don't like hospital socks and slippers are more comfy)
books/magazines (if you don't take a lap top or if you don't feel like using it)

that was everything i took.

i never needed change for the phone hospitals here have them in the rooms but i brought a brush my own shampoo and conditioner and my own jammies and robe for that o so fresh feeling i have 6 children and i found i over packed each time never used much i just was busy with my newborn i roomed in but for shure money in case you want to run to the hospital cafe for a little feeling of normal lunch with a friend or something also extra bags for all the gifts, flowers your friends and family bring. but just remember you will probably leave with double what you go with good luck
