It is actually really bad for their brain development and learning skills. Just went to a seminar on babies brain development and they said that is horrible for them. Stear clear

Me and my husband got it this deluxe one that is almost $300 .. my daughter doesn't pay attention to it.. all they do is reap the same thing single words, flash cards for you to show the baby.. I honestly don't like it at all.. is collecting dust in a closet...

The best way to help your baby's intellectual development is to expose him to a LOT of creative play and out of the house activities.    Playgroups,  parks,  grocery stores,  friend's homes,  etc.  Creative play - not repetitive flash cards.  Talk to the baby using simple words,  but not baby sing song words.  Talk like you would to another adult,  not "does Jason see the orange?  Mommy sees the orange.  Does Jason see it?  What color does Jason see?  Mommy sees that it's orange".  Gads.

I was in a playgroup when my kids were little with 10 kids,  6 of them are now National Merit Scholars.  (Not my kids,  haha).   Anyway,  stimulating exciting creative play is the way to have smart kids.
