It just so happens that my mom came up with two names that I like. The father doesn't tho, we are not in a relationship or married so I try to explain to him that I actually dnt have to give the child his last name. It took me a lot to allow him the last name. I feel like I should have the right to get the first two at least the first, he keeps trying to argue it but I feel that I dnt even have to include him in the naming at all. I'm nt tryin to stop him from being a father I just dnt like ghetto baby name he comes up with.... Am I wrong/right/selfish?

I'm actually not giving my baby just her father's last name, we're hyphenating it, my last name then his...I would guess if I did concede to it (although no way I was going to though lol), I would probably want rights to the first name too.

Maybe you can both just have veto power so neither of you has to deal with a name you hate? Eventually you'd both find a name you like.

I think u should come to an agreement. Give him a list of names u can live with.  It just makes life easier if u show respect for each other

Name that baby whatever you want. I mean really what's he going to do about it?

I think that if he is the father and he is going to be in the babies life he should be able to have some say in the name. I think you both need to come up with a name you both like. It may be hard to do at first but not impossable.
