new mommy :(

So I was jus wondering if anyone could tell me how long it will be after I had my son until my hormones get in check? I had my son super early (28 weeks) because of some health issues and he is in NICU and sometimes I just feel so overwhelmed. Im not sure if its depression and I need to talk to a doctor or if its just because they said everything is still adjusting. Im a new mom and everything is so new and im not sure how to react or take anything i just feel so lost. Just wondering if any  moms out there could give me some advise in handling the stress or maybe some info about depression or something because im sure my boyfriend is tired if me just randomly crying because I have body issues or because I dont know how to handle the baby or just because im confused.

Not only did you just have a baby but on top of all that he was very early. That's just adding to everything your feeling and it's normal. Some mom's can take anywhere from 6 months to 1yr to start feeling better again. Baby blues is different from post partum depression. Google it and you be the judge of what you've got. If it is post partum depression you need to speak with your Dr you may need some counseling. I know it's hard seeing our Lil ones in the NICU and very overwhelming. Just know that things will be ok and all this will pass with some time. May God bless you and your family
