We got a Siberian husky puppy when I was 28 weeks pregnant. I can honestly say pregnancy has made me hate most dogs (usually I love them) unless its all the ones around here I don't know. Butt any who training him to go outside was pretty easy for him and he knows a few tricks. He still isn't where I would like him to be. Also unlike others mine hasn't become attached to me. He was at first since I was home with him all day but has now realized my husband is the alpha male and wont listen to me at all! If you have the time go for it but if not I wouldn't recommend it.

I got a puppy at about 4 months pregnant with my son, worsttt mistake ever, he was a german shepherd and he was SO clingy to me that when I brought the baby home he got really jealous, and we ended up getting rid of him. They definitely can get very attatched and not take a new addition well, but if you think you can juggle that, go for it!

I got my pup about 3 weeks before we found out I was pregnant and honestly, it has been such hard work. She's become so protective of me to the point where she growls at my boyfriend if she comes near me. She gets jealous if he comes near me, she cries when I leave the room and hates it when I go to work. She also snaps at anyone who comes near me when my boyfriend isn't there because she feels like she has to protect. It's hard work but if you can manage, go for it.

I have a lab and a lurcher, I have had them for 2 & 3yrs respectively both from pups, they have grown up with my kids and are great with the new baby...but....I feel I am letting them down as it is harder to walk them now, I used to use the time my kids were at school to take them to the forest for laong walks, but I cant take the pram over the terrain (fences etc). I cant walk on the road as there are no pavements and it is a 60mph speed limit. Think about where and when you can walk them and maybe choose a dog which doesnt need much walking (I would personally recommend greyhounds or lurchers they surprisingly dont take much walking and are very submissive) my lab is a nightmare chewing things, I love him, but will never have another.

Yes I just got one and I'm 35 weeks. He is a chiwawa.he's pretty easy. The only thing he does is wake me about 4 times a night to pee. It doesn't bother me cause its preparing me for the baby

My son is 10 weeks and our puppy is jealous. She is 7 months old and will poop on the floor while I am holding the baby. She will not settle down. I suggest get a bigger dog. Most small dogs are hyper and need a lot of attention.

Lol don't know how but that's what the internet says

I had a puppy right after I brought ny lil guy home last year, it was not easy for me, I was and am a stay at home mom and at the time my hubby worked a day shift job, so the puppy would be using the bathroom in the house and trying to get into everything. I just couldn't keep up with him all the time since I was taking care of my son all by myself. We already had a full size dog that we've had for years so the puppy would aggrevate the big dog and they would make a ton of noise and it all just drove me crazy lol. I'm 32 weeks tomorrow and since the middle of my preg we have tried to have another puppy cuz i want one for my 11 month old but it was still way to much to do, I would rather wait until my sons are both older maybe when my older one is 2. Lol

I would say go for it if you can get a puppy. Just keep in mind that puppies take alot of training and your not just training the puppy your preparing that puppy to be around a baby!! But as long as you have the time and money for maybe a obedience classes then I don't see how it can hurt anything. In fact could be very healthy for puppy and baby to grow up with one another. Just make sure to look into the breed and allergy of the puppy! :)
