hiya everyone i have had 2 miscarriages in the past 7-8 months . i fell pregnant again (3rd time)before my period i had an ultrasound a week and a half ago,saw gestational sac and my little  peanut :) measuring 5-6 wks but sadly no heartbeat i was told to have a d&c but ordered my hcg levels to be taken first however they  didnt do it they just did another pregnancy test BLOODY ENGLISH DOCTORS!! anyways it was positive does that mean everything is ok?  i have another ultrasound in a week or two by then i shall be 8-9 weeks pregnant(hopefully) basically im just wondering what the "positive means" could it just be saying that because of other hormones down there is making? or does it mean my baby is still alive? im really confused and angry that they didnt check my levels when i asked !!.Also i have lost my prego symptoms .... has this happened to anyone before and stil carried to term? my friend is  16 weeks pregnant and lost her prego symptoms at around 7 weeks if anyone could help that would be brilliant thanks baby  dust to everyone :)

In early pregnancy it is very easy to miss the heartbeat, even on ultrasound, as has been the experience of some women here and some women in the news. SOmeone just posted an article about a British woman who was recommended to have a D&C because the baby was thought to be dead and she refused. She ended up delivering a healthy baby girl!

Many doctors have been wrong about heartbeats and recommend women get a D&C when, in fact, their baby ended up being alive and healthy! So WAIT! If you were to miscarry, it'll happen (your symptoms will start to go away and you'd start to bleed). After you wait a couple weeks, get another ultrasound or your levels checked.

DO NOT give up hope!

I have similar experience like all of you. At 5.3 weeks I have seen heart beat at 145 CRL but at 7 weeks when the ultrasound was done there was no heart beat. What are chances of survival of fetus, is there anyone same stories? Please share with me.

Its possible to miscarry and for your body to not get rid of it on your own. When I had a miscarriage I got a routine ultrasound done at about 9 weeks and it showed that the baby had stopped developing at 6 weeks 3 days. I ended up having what they call a missed miscarriage and ended up having to get a d&c. It took about 4 weeks for pregnancy tests to show negative and another 2 weeks after that to even get a period. However, don't lose hope yet its very common to not see a heart beat until later on. We didn't see a heartbeat at 5w6d this time and then ended up seeing on at 6w1d. So even a couple of days can make a HUGH difference. Also, pregnancy symptoms can come and go. One week you may have horrible morning sickness and the next week nothing and then randomly it comes back again. Try to keep hope your next ultrasound should give you more information and hopefully you see your little bean with a strong heartbeat!

I believe your baby is alive...I've read your other posts and I see it's been on your mind...I think that you would've already miscarried by now...it's been like 2 weeks since they've told you hasn't it? yea, I think by now you would've miscarried...

From the sounds of things your baby is still alive. Remember, it is rare to hear the heartbeat that early. I am 9w1d, and the doc tried to hear the baby's hearbeat on Tuesday with the doppler and because the placenta is bigger than the baby still it was almost impossible to find the hertbeat. We found mine a few times, but not his/hers. Dont worry girl, i am sure your little peanut is just fine. Try not to stress too much okay? I know its difficult, but stress can be hard on your little one. Wait until your ultrasound, then go from there. I am sure everything will be just fine. :-) Good luck and baby dust to you. Happy Valentines Day!!!!
