not gaining enough weight during pregnancy

Hi, I'm 22 weeks pregnant right now and I haven't gained any weight at all during the pregnancy. I had severe morning sickness which I'm taking zofran for now. When I took the ultrasound, they said everything was normal with the baby, including the size. I haven't been able to take my prenatal vitamins because everytime I take them I throw up, but I've been trying to eat as much as I can. Does anyone know if it's safe for the baby if I drink Ensure or Boost, and if it's ok to take flinstone vitamins? I've tried the chewable prenatal pills, but they make me sick-has anyone tried the liquid vitamins and how has that worked for them?

My doctor told me to drink ensure or boost when I couldn't eat enough calories, also yes take 2 filnstone vitamins and that equals the same as the prenatal. I recently gained 7 pounds in the last 4 weeks (I'll be 28 weeks on Tues). I also took Zofran and not my prenantals and had a PICC placed so I know what your going through, hopefully you'll just have a jump in weight like I did. Best of luck!

when i went in to have my little girl i only wieghed 118 lbs. and they said that she was going to be a good 8lb baby. although she ws 6weeks early. so you not gaining all that much weight shouldnt be that bad. but im not doc. and i couldnt take the pernate. vitamins cause it made me sick and my doc said to take the flintstone ones. and im with alaysha on the never takeing the liquid ones, but i do wish you good luck. and hope you have a healthy baby!

I didn't start increasing in weight until about 22 weeks. In fact, in the beginning of my pregnancy I lost about 5 pounds. My doctor said that you can take flintstones vitamins instead of prenatals but that you want to double the dose (so two a day). Unfortunently I have never tried a liquid vitamin.
