overweight 19 eks pregnant and not feeling movementall the time

Just wondering if there are any other big women that dont feel movement all the time. I heard the bigger you are the less you will feel.  i had a doppler so I get to hear the heartbeat all the time but I want to feel it move. So, when did you start feeling the baby move all the time??

I am overweight and this is my first pregnancy. I am also 19 weeks and every now and again I think I feel a "flutter" but I'm not sure if that is the baby or not. I'm not expecting to feel anything until the 21-22 week mark. It does feel like forever but eventually we will feel our babies soon!

Another thing that can affect when you feel movements is the placement of the placenta.  If it's posterior (meaning towards the back) most women will feel it sooner but if it's anterior (towards the front) it will absorb and "hide" a lot of the movements so it could be longer before you feel them

I mentioned to my dr at 24 weeks (3rd baby) that I did not feel her move all the time.  He said they really do not worry about it until after 28 weeks.... It could depend on the babys position that you do not feel anything and you are still pretty early for strong regular movements.... give it a couple of weeks and I am sure you will feel the kicks, punches and rolls soon!

Most women in their first pregnancies will not feel regular fetal movement until between 18-22 weeks.  If the women is heavier then it could be as much as 24 weeks for a first pregnancy.  Some women who are on a subsequent pregnancy may or may not feel movement sooner.

If this is your first, it's normal.  I was pretty skiny for my first and I didn't feel anything till I was 20 or 21 weeks, and even then it just felt like worms in my belly.  This is my third pregnancy and I started feeling things at 16 weeks.  And even now at 17 weeks I don't even feel the baby move all the time, mostly when I lay down.

As for being bigger and not feeling movements as much, I would think that's more when the baby is kicking and you can feel it from the outside.  That doesn't happen till later, I can't remember when.
