I went and bought the equate overnight pads with wings for after baby is born. Are those the kind I need? The other kind I have (coincidently bought then the same time I bought a pregnancy test lmao) are just thin regular with wings. I'm not sure what would be best...obviously tampons are a no no

I've packed some overnight pads, but of course I will take whatever I can get from the hospital. I am seriously considering getting a few diapers! Also that is a great idea, to put pads in the freezer! Brilliant.

I buy the kotex pads. I've heard that they aren't supposed to have a dry layer or whatever on top like Always because your stitches can get caught in there and rip.  If you don't rip or have a c section then I guess it woukdnt matter much. Heavy flow to start. Usually one bag for me. Then regular after that. I bled for 6 weeks with my second. Felt like forever.

They cut me down there when I had my first baby and they gave me a huggies diaper with crushed ice inside the gel part! Did anyone else have that? I thought it was kinda funny lol

Definitely the heavies are good. Lol my midwife actually told me to use depends for the first day or two and then switch to heavy pads, and with my son i was actually glad for that advice...saved a lot of underware stains and changes. The first two days i leaked through the hospital pads so quickly it was ridiculous. Lol i can laugh now but at the time...lol not so much.

Ask for extras of the ice pads. omg. those are amazing! Also once you get home you can put your pads in the freezer before wearing them. feels amazing. I took the Always Infinity overnights when I had my first. I love em.

Ask for extras of the hospital pads. They are huge, but they get the job done and are free.
