When do u start getting a pediatrician for the baby? I found a place that takes my insurance is close to home and convenient...i know i gotta wait till shes born to even call and ask cause they need her info! I just wanna make sure how this is done. Ftm so i have no clue when to start that or if the hospital helps after when u do the paperwork and such...just curious.

I'd call in advance to see how that office does things and make sure they are taking new babies. They can't set up the appointment, but they will tell you what you need to do. Our pediatrician always has a couple of times open every day for a newborn because they have to be seen within 2 days. So for us, when our baby is born we will have to call and set up an appointment before we leave the hospital. The hospital will have a pediatrician to see the baby while you are there. For our first they just asked who we were going to take him to and made sure we set up an appointment before we left. That was all the help they gave us. And that's what they'll do with this one, but that's just so they know if the pediatrician at the hospital needs to see him again before we leave.
