please help!

i had unprotected sex with an ex bf the day before i started my period started my period june 3rd.. lasted 5-6 days then i had sex with my current boyfriend a day after my period and a few more times in the following weeks. well took a test July 4th because i usually start around the 3rd it came back positive i ovulated about 8 days after my period the Dr.says my conception was around the 17th i guess my question is i couldn't have gotten pregnant before my period n have it be m y ex's right?
