Thank you future mommies.... I just cant believe they found that low and im already 34weeks ... I just hope everything goes well thank you
I have low iron this time around too. I have to take iron pills daily as well. NY doc said it wouldn't affect my so, only me. Baby takes all they need from you. Prenatals and iron pills are recommended during pregnancy to help you replenish what your baby has taken. My doc gave me 90mg ferralet. I still feel tired sometimes and have horrible headaches in the mornings but not as terrible as it was before. I overlooked all the signs of anemia too "/ doc is worried about getting my levels up in time for delivery.
You should avoid caffeine containing food or drink like all coffee and tea
All soda shoclate ,,, search in net this what I remember
Natural fruits like orange lemon contain iron and enhance it absorption too try to eat meet too
And grape grean and red
Trust me
I'm 40+2 weeks and have had low iron since 28 weeks, I was given iron tablets which I have to take 3 a day of, midwife told me it won't affect the baby because the baby takes what they need first then leaves you with the rest so you would feel really ill and run down before it would have any affect on your baby. Hope this helps
Take the iron pill as directed and keep up on prenatals. My friend had low iron and it didn't effect her baby but if ur worried u can ask ur doc cause ur situation can be different.
Your baby needs to iron too, you can also eat more red meats and more leafty greens to boost your iron levels.
