pocket of blood by placenta

I just went to my first prenatal visit.. Heard the heart beat.. It is 167 bmp.. The only thing that she is concerned about is that there is a small pocket of blood.. she said to don't lose sleep over it.. she said that it rarely ever causes a miscarriage.. she said that a lot of women get them ... I was just wondering if anyone had one before or knew someone that did and what happened.. thanks in advance...

are you talking about a Subchorionic Bleed? If so, I had one with my pregnancy we found it at 7w6d and as you can see everything went Ok for me, Im 29weeks. The only time you really should worrie is if the pocket getts to big. Most of the time is heals its self. and if you have any spotting its more then likly from that......
